Photography has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. We had a darkroom at our home when I was young, and it was in that small corner of our basement where I learned the fundamentals. Through high school and college I worked as a photographer at The Punxsutawney Spirit newspaper, and I later worked with a Western Pennsylvania tourist promotion agency to provide photos for brochures and other publications.
In recent years my photos have appeared in countless newspapers, web sites and magazines around the world. I am frequently called upon as a stringer for Reuters News Agency, which provides photos to major publications around the globe. I also do frequent work for local papers including The Beaver County Times, The Punxsutawney Spirit, St. Marys Daily Press, The Kane Republican, The Ridgway Record and others.
A shot of mine was once featured in an advertisement for Chevy, which appeared in USA Today, Sports Illustrated, network television ads, and as a full-page ad in the program for the 2006 Major League All-Star Game. One of the more unusual placements of one of my photographs was during a 2012 episode of The Price Is Right, when one of my Groundhog Day photos appeared as a backdrop for a showcase.
I am available for freelance photography, including weddings and senior and family portraits. I also work with area sports teams, high school bands, etc., to provide team and individual photos, as well as senior banners to hang at stadiums, and novelty items. Please use the Contact page to inquire about available dates. I'll look forward to hearing from you!
